FastSatfinder is a widely recognized Windows-based software utility designed to help users precisely align and tune their satellite dishes for satellite TV or satellite internet. Unlike standalone physical hardware meters, FastSatfinder functions as a virtual satellite finder. It leverages the processing power of a PC coupled with an installed PC DVB-S/DVB-S2 tuner card (such as those from TechniSat, Hauppauge, or TechnoTrend) to give real-time acoustic and visual tracking telemetry. Install the Software: Download the setup file directly from FastSatfinder. Double-click the setup.exe file, and follow the on-screen prompts.
Select Your Device: Upon your very first launch, click the Device button. A window displaying supported tuner models will appear. Select the specific DVB-S/S2 card installed in your computer and click Start.
Configure DiSEqC (If Applicable): If you use a multi-satellite switch, click the DiSEqC button. Choose your matching option (None, Simple A, Simple B, or LNB1-4) based on your hardware configuration.
Update Transponders: To prevent tracking dead frequencies, ensure your transponder data is current. You can download the latest configuration packs directly from the FastSatfinder Transponder Archive and swap out the old Transponders folder in your program directory.
